One of my family’s favorite desserts I have ever made dismay Cherry Pie. So I thought, why not try and make these into cute little bars for a Fourth of July party?!
And when I get an idea like that in my head - I HAVE to make it happen!
I decided to make these gluten free for a slightly healthier option. I used Bob’s Red Mill Almond Flour, of course! Plus, I’ve always loved the almond cherry flavor combo.
It’s important to bake the crust almost all the way through before putting the cherry filling on top. This ensures that it is fully cooked.
This cherry filling is my GO-TO. I have no joke been making this filling since I was seven and it is still to this day the best I have ever had. Plus it’s so easy and ready in 10 minutes!
