There’s nothing better than walking into a holiday gathering and being greeted with an extravagant cheese board..at least in my opinion!
I love to create these kind of boards for appetizers because of the variety of flavors, textures and colors you can include! It truly is a work of art.
The most important thing to remember when creating a cheese board is variety. Grab all of your favorite cheeses, nuts, meats, fruits, crackers and spreads. When placing them on the board, be sure to make groups of everything, instead of just throwing it all everywhere. We want it to be an organized mess ;)
Second, give your board some different levels, or heights. Use bowls, dishes and place things up on a salt block or wood board to add some dimension. This also helps for people to differentiate what all the board has to offer.
Third, GREENS! I can’t stress this enough, throw some herbs or kale on there for some color and texture. People might not necessarily eat it, but it makes the board look complete.
