Thanksgiving 2018…FINALLY!

One of the BIGGEST holidays in my household…and by far the most delicious! I am sharing my menu this year with you, and let me just say, it is DELISH! Check out some of the recipes for a few of my best dishes!

One of the biggest tips I have for Thanksgiving is PREP. Most of these dishes I made the day before or even a few days before..including the turkey. That way, you are able to spend the actual day with your friends and family. Setting the table the night before relieves a lot of stress the day of, and you can get it to look exactly how you want it.

I like to serve a nice hearty breakfast so everyone stays full until lunch/dinner. I think that is SUPER important, so people aren’t snacking all day until the feast!

And now for the main event…

This year, I tried out Ina’s turkey and it was AMAZING! I will link the recipe, as this is one I will definitely be using every year.

In addition to the turkey, a variety of side dishes are a must! A fresh harvest salad always lightens things up a bit, since Thanksgiving is such a heavy meal.

I also did something new with sweet potatoes, because I was so bored of plain old sweet potato casserole. Needless to say, it came out GREAT, and is so so beautiful! The sweet potatoes are perfectly caramelized and sweet, definitely one of my new favorites!

CHERRY PIE! Well, my “World Famous” Cherry Pie! It is always the highlight of every Thanksgiving for my Grandad. In high school, I used to pay him in Cherry Pies to do my Physics projects for me…Shhh! Don’t tell anyone!
